These homemade croutons are easy to make and elevate any soup or salad! They're made with flavorful sourdough bread, olive oil and butter, grated parmesan, and simple seasonings.
Place the cubed bread in a large bowl.Combine the olive oil, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Slowly drizzle it over the bread, tossing continuously. Sprinkle with parmesan and toss well to coat evenly.
Spread in an even layer over a large, light-colored baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and toss. Bake for another 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
Let them cool completely on the baking sheet, they’ll crisp up more this way.

Pro Tips:
Bread: Sourdough is my preferred bread choice, followed by French bread, Italian, Ciabatta, and Baguettes, in that order.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
They also freeze well! Feel free to freeze in an airtight container for up to 3 moths. Reheat them straight from frozen at 350°F for about 5–8 minutes.
